PHY is Myanmar's first start-up incubator, running awesome programs which have helped Myanmar entrepreneurs launch scalable and sustainable businesses that have a positive impact in Myanmar. We are also proud to have brought Global Entrepreneurship Week to Myanmar and to have acted as GEW Host from 2012-2014, bringing together the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Myanmar to celebrate entrepreneurship through events. Currently, we focus on developing new incubation, innovation and entrepreneurship programs with partners and donors.
Who We Are
Project Hub is an initiative launched by Allison Morris and Pete Silvester, two development professionals passionate about seeing ideas take flight. We also rely on our team of trainers, communications experts, and consultants who help us deliver our programs.
We believe that encouraging entrepreneurship is an important pillar in any country's economic development. Entrepreneurs develop new ideas to solve social and environmental challenges, they create jobs, they innovate, and they spur economic growth. We believe entrepreneurs play a huge role in Myanmar's development and we're here to support them.
Project Hub was launched in August 2012 as a means to encourage new ways of doing business and solving problems in as Myanmar began a historic transition towards democracy. Since 2012, Project Hub has run 3 incubation cohorts, led 10 idea generation challenges, launched Myanmar's first co-working space, and hosted dozens of events and networking nights.
